Teeth Whitening
“Smile, it is the key that fits the lock of everybody's heart."
--Anthony J. D'Angelo
Imagine it to be your wedding day today and all your photographer is asking you to do is to “SMILE”… and if you are smiling while you are reading this you would know that your smile (on any day) will always be your best asset.
If you are happy about the way you smile, but you want to add that extra sparkle- we recommend you the Bleaching Procedure.
The two ways of Bleaching your teeth are as follows:-
- Home Bleach :- The most common type of whitening is called ‘dentist-supervised home whitening'. You will have trays made specially to fit into your mouth like gum-shields. The whitening gel is then put in the trays and you will be given a routine to follow at home. The total length of the home bleaching treatment can vary depending on how discoloured your teeth are and the shade you want to get to. It can usually be finished within two to four weeks.
- In Office Bleach :-Another option is called ‘chair-side whitening'. First, a rubber shield or a gel will be put on your gums to protect them. Then the whitening product is applied to your teeth, again using a specially made tray. The ‘active ingredient' in the whitening product is usually hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. As the active ingredient is broken down, oxygen gets into the enamel and dentine of the teeth and the tooth colour is made lighter.
In Office Bleach is a quick and easy procedure and it only takes about an hour. Might we add it should be done a week before your special occasion.
